Water Training

Another method to humanely stop a dog from barking inappropriately is called water training. It works pretty simply and the only device you need is some sort of water spraying or squirting device. When your dog begins to bark when he is not supposed to, say "quiet" to him firmly as you squirt him with water. This will almost always stop him. Once he has stopped, you can pet him and praise him.
